Your VR Toolkit is on its way... soon.

Jul 28, 2014

Thanks for your patience. We've been overwhelmed by the continued consumer interest and media excitement around Google cardboard, and want to assure you that your order will soon be on its way to you. We know many of you are anxious to receive your VR kit and we're happy to report that they will start shipping late next week. We know, it's a little outside of our original production window, but we encountered some issues with tooling and resources along the way...and wanted to take the proper steps to be sure to get you the best product. Please know that our team is working around the clock to get the kits made efficiently and to the highest standards.

In the meantime, here's a little more news about what we will be delivering to you and hopefully we can answer some of your questions. As always, feel free to reach us at thenest@dodocase.com

NFC Tags
We've selected the high-end, Topaz 512 NFC Tag for the kit.  The tag is 85.5 x 54 mm with a wrapped antenna. This antenna structure provides the widest possible zone to interact with the place of your phones (optional) NFC reader. Be sure to enable your reader in the settings menu of your phone! The reader will launch a portal to access the Google Cardboard demo app as well as many other apps we've discovered. If you are an app developer and would like to get featured, please email developers@dodocase.com.

German-Designed Biconvex Lenses
We've received a lot of questions regarding the optics of our viewer. Our kit was designed around and will ship with 25 mm diameter, 45 mm focal length lenses that were designed in Germany. These are exactly the same lenses available with the Cardboard Kits at Google I/O.

New Cardboard Apps
In addition to the above, we're excited to report that more apps are being created daily for cardboard. Check out some of them here.
